Overview.
Meso Design Studio is a multidisciplinary architecture and interior design firm based in Siliguri, Darjeeling, founded in 2020. This portfolio site is their digital showcase, built around high-impact project galleries, team profiles, and contact infrastructure. It runs on Next.js 14, React and TypeScript, pairing visual elegance with technical performance: smooth Framer Motion animations, custom interactive touches like a bespoke cursor and grain effects, and mobile-optimized responsive layouts across 8+ completed residential, hospitality, and commercial projects.
Challenges.
An architecture portfolio has to win on two fronts at once: visual impact and discoverability. Big image galleries demand aggressive optimization, while ranking for local search depends on structured data and real SEO depth. The goal was a luxury aesthetic built on animation and effects that never dented performance scores, backed by a full SEO foundation (JSON-LD schema, geotargeted keywords, sitemap routes, a proper 404) to compete for high-intent local queries like "architects in Siliguri" and "interior designer Darjeeling". The build leans on Next.js image optimization with WebP and immutable cache headers, Framer Motion for animation that stays cheap, and breadcrumb, organization, website and person schema for E-E-A-T, all while holding Lighthouse scores in the 90s.
